Water Monitor IS:8442 is designed for fixed fire-fighting installations where large quantities of water need to be delivered over a considerable distance. The monitor provides controlled horizontal and vertical movement for accurate water targeting and is suitable for industrial plants, warehouses, oil facilities, power plants, and other high-risk areas. The current BIS standard is IS 8442:2024, covering stand-post type water and water-cum-foam monitors in sizes including 63 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm, and 150 mm.
